FutbolProject is extremely happy to announce that Director and Co-Founder Matthew Borowicz has joined Box Hill United as Technical Director for NPL boys and girls.
This role grew from a partnership that Matthew formed with Box Hill United and FutbolProject in 2018 and has transitioned into new and exciting opportunities for both parties.
Box Hill United has a rich history as they were first established in 1922 and now have multiple teams including men and women’s seniors, juniors and Miniroos for the young ones.
Matthew was interviewed by Tathagata Mukhopadhyay to discuss this exciting opportunity.
Speaking about the current standard of Box Hill’s youth programs, Matthew said, “I think the standards are at a pretty good level, with the potential for even better outcomes.”
“Box Hill always have had a good tradition with youth footballers and are regarded as a tough opponent. I think that is still there.
“The club traditionally attracts players who like to play good football. This is in our core philosophy here to play attractive football. Both girls and boys are striving to do that.”
Explaining his coaching philosophy, Matthew added, “I don’t remember a time when I did not have a ball in my feet or in my hands, and I always play football. People that are in football understand that it is a way of life. So, I guess it is the way we live.
